Welcome to Hackyard

Hackyard is a network for builders. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Hackyard, including our website, community features, profiles, content, and related services. By accessing or using Hackyard, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use Hackyard.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Hackyard. By creating an account, you represent that the information you provide is accurate, you are legally permitted to use the service, and you will comply with these Terms and applicable laws.

Accounts

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your account.
• Keeping your login credentials secure.
• All activity that occurs under your account.

You may not:

• Impersonate another person.
• Create misleading profiles.
• Use temporary or fraudulent identities to abuse the platform.
• Share access to your account with others.

Hackyard reserves the right to suspend or remove accounts that violate these Terms.

Acceptable Use

Hackyard exists to help builders discover each other, collaborate, and share their work.

You may not:

• Harass, threaten, or abuse others.
• Share illegal content.
• Distribute malware or malicious code.
• Promote scams, fraud, or deceptive practices.
• Spam users or communities.
• Upload harmful, offensive, hateful, or sexually explicit content.
• Scrape, harvest, or collect user information without permission.
• Interfere with the operation or security of the platform.

We may remove content or accounts that violate these rules.

User Content

You retain ownership of the content you submit to Hackyard, including profile information, posts, projects, comments, images, and other user-generated content. By submitting content to Hackyard, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content solely for operating and improving the platform. You are responsible for the content you publish. You represent that you have the necessary rights to submit such content.

Public Profiles

Hackyard is designed to help builders discover one another. Information you choose to publish on your profile may be visible to other users or visitors. You are responsible for deciding what information you share publicly.

Username Policy

Usernames are granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Hackyard may reclaim, remove, or restrict usernames that:

• Impersonate individuals or organizations
• Infringe trademarks
• Mislead users
• Violate platform policies

Founding Member usernames are not guaranteed indefinitely if accounts violate these Terms.

Intellectual Property

Hackyard, including its branding, logo, design elements, software, and content created by Hackyard, is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy or redistribute platform assets without permission, use the Hackyard name or branding in a misleading manner, or reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code where prohibited by law.

Third-Party Services

Hackyard may integrate with third-party services such as authentication providers, email providers, analytics providers, and infrastructure providers. Your use of those services may also be governed by their own terms and policies.

Platform Availability

We aim to provide a reliable service, but we do not guarantee continuous availability, error-free operation, or uninterrupted access. Hackyard may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to Hackyard if you violate these Terms, your actions harm users or the platform, or we believe termination is necessary to protect the community. You may stop using Hackyard at any time.

Disclaimer

Hackyard is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties regarding availability, reliability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. Use of the platform is at your own risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hackyard and its operators shall not be liable for indirect damages, incidental damages, lost profits, lost data, or business interruption arising from your use of the platform.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When changes are made, the "Last Updated" date will be revised. Continued use of Hackyard after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.
